local case study
United KingdomThis project is seeking consent for a solar farm to be installed across an area of 57 hectares.
The expected generating capacity of the project at this stage is 49.9 MW of solar power, which is enough energy to supply approximately 14,000 homes annually.
Rownall Farm Solar Ltd. recognises that the land is in the green belt and through a careful design process, we would seek to maintain the open nature of the landscape. The layout of the site is designed to protect public footpaths and landscaping measures will be implemented to improve the network of hedgerows in and around the site.
This will not only provide some visual screening of the site but will also enhance the biodiversity of the local area.
