Fraisthorpe

Fraisthorpe Wind Farm, located in Yorkshire, was constructed by BayWa r.e. in 2016 and has a total capacity of 29.7 MW. It produces enough electricity to power approximately 28,000 homes and reduces CO2 emissions by 64,000 tons per annum, as well as providing a community benefit fund totaling over £1.5m to invest in locally approved initiatives.

The windfarm is now part of the Octopus Investments portfolio and BayWa r.e. continues to manage the site as technical asset manager. In this function BayWa r.e. coordinates all third-party activities on the site, ensures the accomplishment with HSE regulations, carries out analysis and reporting and is responsible for a 24/7 monitoring.
