Armed Forces Covenant
At BayWa r.e. we effect change, not just in the Renewable Energy Industry, but also in our communities. That is why it was important to us to join the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), supporting our armed forces community. As an employer we have hereby pledged to be armed forces-friendly, being open to employing reservists, veterans, including the wounded, injured and sick, as well as cadet instructors and military partners, aligning our values with the Armed Forces Covenant.
What is the Armed Forces Covenant?
The covenant is a pledge that as a nation, we are committed to supporting those that have bravely served in the armed forces, by treating them, as well as their families, with fairness and respect in their communities and workplaces.
How will BayWa r.e. UK and BayWa r.e. Operations Services support the Armed Forces?
At BayWa r.e. we want to ensure that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces and their families, face no disadvantage in their career development. As a business, we can benefit from transferable skills of members of the Naval Service, the Army and the Royal Air Force. We will therefore recognise military skills and qualifications in our recruitment process, working with the Career Transition Partnership to support the employment of veterans.
We have also committed to supporting national events, including the Poppy Appeal Day and Remembrance activities.
