Cotton Farm

Cotton Windfarm, located in Cambridgeshire, was developed and constructed by BayWa r.e. in 2013 and has an installed capacity of 16.4 MW. It produces enough electricity to power approximately 16,000 homes and reduces CO2 emissions by 36,000 tons per annum, as well as providing a community benefit fund which invests in locally approved initiatives.

The windfarm is now part of the Greencoat UK portfolio and BayWa r.e. continues to manage the site as a technical asset manager. In this function BayWa r.e. coordinates all third-party activities on the site, ensures the accomplishment with HSE regulations, carries out analysis and reporting and is responsible for a 24/7 monitoring. In addition to that BayWa r.e. managed a long-term noise measurement campaign carried out by a third party.
