United KingdomWhitelaw Brae Windfarm is located approximately 3km south of Tweedsmuir in the Scottish Borders. Consent for the construction and operation of the Whitelaw Brae Wind Farm was granted by Scottish Ministers in December 2017 and BayWa r.e. acquired the project in May 2019 as part of its purchase of Forsa Energy’s renewable energy portfolio.
The Whitelaw Brae Windfarm project comprises 14 turbines with a maximum height to blade tip of 133.5m and has secured a grid connection for 57 MW. The windfarm was consented by the Scottish Ministers in 2017 and the BayWa team are now working to discharge the pre-commencement planning conditions and prepare the development for construction.
