BayWa r.e. has been successful in the latest UK Contracts for Difference (CfD) Allocation Round 7, securing long-term offtake agreements for both Fleet Solar Farm in Hampshire, and High Constellation Wind Farm in Argyll & Bute.
Edinburgh, 10.02.2026: BayWa r.e. has been successful in the latest UK Contracts for Difference (CfD) Allocation Round 7, securing long-term offtake agreements for both Fleet Solar Farm in Hampshire, and High Constellation Wind Farm in Argyll & Bute.
The award of two CfDs further strengthens BayWa r.e.’s commitment to delivering high-quality projects that support the Government’s Clean Power 2030 mission, the UK’s Net Zero by 2050 target, and long-term energy security.
Fleet Solar Farm, a 47.5 MW project located on land north of Long Sutton, Hampshire, was granted planning permission in 2025. High Constellation Wind Farm has a planned capacity of 50 MW. The 10-turbine project is located near Clachan in Argyll & Bute. Construction for both projects is planned to commence later in 2026.
By securing CfDs under the Government’s competitive auction process, the projects will benefit from stable, long-term revenue backing, supporting investment in low-carbon electricity generation. The projects will make a meaningful contribution towards decarbonising the UK power system and towards the Government’s ambition to deliver a decarbonised electricity system by 2035.
This award marks a further milestone for BayWa r.e., as it continues to expand its UK portfolio across solar, wind, and battery energy storage.
Gemma Hamilton, Director of Strategy & Origination at BayWa r.e. UK Ltd., said about the awards:
“Receiving CfDs for both Fleet Solar Farm and High Constellation Wind Farm is testament to the strength of our development pipeline, and a direct result of the diligent work of our teams. These projects will deliver clean, affordable energy for British homes and businesses for decades to come, whilst also providing environmental and economic benefits for local communities.”
Since first bidding into Allocation Round 3, BayWa r.e. has now secured 15 CfDs across five allocation rounds, underscoring the company’s position as a trusted developer of high-quality renewable energy projects in the UK.
