BayWa r.e. UK & Ireland, Projects and Asset Operations
Stuart Davidson is the Director of Development for BayWa r.e. in the UK & Ireland. With over 18 years' experience in the renewables sector, Stuart specialises in leading energy projects from conception to pre-construction, and is responsible for the wind, solar and BESS development portfolio within BayWa r.e.. Stuart has a background in Environmental Management and Planning, starting out his career as a Environmental Planner in a renewables-focused consultancy.
Sarah Drummond is a qualified Solicitor in Scotland. She first joined BayWa r.e. UK on a legal secondment in 2019 before officially joining in 2020. As a legal and commercial specialist in the renewable energy sector, Sarah is the Director of Commercial, Risk & Project Delivery. Sarah is responsible for the successful construction and delivery of our delivery portfolio of solar, wind and battery energy storage projects, leading on route to market, transaction and financing activities. Sarah is also responsible for general risk management and resolution of business and project risks, ensuring the best outcomes for BayWa r.e..
Gemma Hamilton is Director of Strategy & Origination at BayWa r.e. in the UK & Ireland. Currently leading the development strategy, origination, and long-term growth planning at BayWa r.e. for the UK and Ireland, delivering multi-GW pipeline growth, strengthening governance, and positioning the platform for sustained, capital-efficient expansion. Having previously worked at Brookfield Renewable, PNE Wind, and Bute Energy, Gemma has over 19 years’ experience in managing the development of renewable projects across Britain and Ireland.
Morgan leads the Asset Operations division with a wealth of experience in the services Industry.
Since joining BayWa r.e. in 2019, Morgan has taken on the responsibility of overseeing Operations & Maintenance, as well as Asset and Commercial Management for the UK business for both wind and solar renewables, driving the company’s growth and success in these sectors.
Morgan’s role is pivotal in ensuring that BayWa r.e. continues to deliver exceptional service and value to its clients.
Michael is joint Managing Director of our Asset Operations business bringing over 20 years of finance experience to the team and is a Chartered Management Accountant.
Prior to joining BayWa r.e., Michael held senior finance positions within the services and renewables industry. Michael joined BayWa r.e. in early 2023 as Head of Finance, taking on responsibility for all Finance and Procurement activities within the UK Asset Operations business, ensuring delivery of core finance tasks, and supporting the wider business in delivery of strategic objectives.
In December 2025, Michael’s role expanded to include Managing Director, allowing him to further enhance his support for the UK business.
Bob Mitchell is a Chartered Accountant with ICAS having trained with KPMG. He has more than 16 years of experience in the renewable energy sector. His career spans wave, wind, and solar development and construction, giving him deep expertise across the full lifecycle of clean energy projects.
As Director of Finance and Operations, Bob is responsible for the financial management and operational oversight of BayWa r.e. in the UK and Irish markets.
