BayWa r.e. is delighted to announce the appointment of Steven Ikin as joint Managing Director of its UK Operation Services business, who will work alongside Natasha Kumar. Steven has had an impressive career journey over the course of 24 years, including 14 years in the renewables industry in a range of roles working for an Investor, Operator and Manufacturer.
Based in BayWa r.e.'s Milton Keynes office, Steven brings extensive management experience to the business and will focus on accelerating the growth strategy, building on success to date.
The news also follows recent momentum in strengthening the business’ operation and maintenance portfolio, including signing two new contracts for storage sites in the UK, in partnership with Ingenious.

With extensive finance and renewables experience, Steven worked at Nordex Energy GmbH in several finance positions across the division. In his last role at Nordex he was leading the service finance function across 22 countries globally, where he was in charge of the management of all financial, commercial, and contract departments across the division. During his time with Community Windpower Limited, his responsibilities as Director of Operations & Asset Management included the delivery of revenues and performance across all installed assets. Following his role as Chief Executive Officer at Greensolver Group where he oversaw the running of global services for the business, he then went on to provide management, development, and operational support for renewable services to clients at TIR Consulting.
