  • Bishopthorpe Wind Farm

    16.4 MW wind project in Lincolnshire

    Bishopthorpe Wind Farm, located in Humberside, was developed and constructed by BayWa r.e. Operational in 2017 and has a total capacity of 16.4MW. It produces enough electricity to power approximately 16,000 homes and reduces CO2 emissions by 35,000 tons per annum, as well as providing a community benefit fund for investing in locally approved initiatives.
    The windfarm is now part of the Greencoat UK portfolio and BayWa r.e. continues to manage the site as technical asset manager. In this function BayWa r.e. coordinates all third-party activities on the site, ensures the accomplishment with HSE regulations, carries out analysis and reporting and is responsible for a 24/7 monitoring.

  • Cotton Farm Wind Farm

    16.4 MW Wind project in Cambridgeshire

    Cotton Windfarm, located in Cambridgeshire, was developed and constructed by BayWa r.e. in 2013 and has an installed capacity of 16.4MW. It produces enough electricity to power approximately 16,000 homes and reduces CO2 emissions by 36,000 tons per annum, as well as providing a community benefit fund which invests in locally approved initiatives. The windfarm is now part of the Greencoat UK portfolio and BayWa r.e. continues to manage the site as a technical asset manager. In this function BayWa r.e. coordinates all third-party activities on the site, ensures the accomplishment with HSE regulations, carries out analysis and reporting and is responsible for a 24/7 monitoring. In addition to that BayWa r.e. managed a long-term noise measurement campaign carried out by a third party.   

  • Crookedstane

    The site is located south of Elvanfoot in the Daer Valley, South Lanarkshire.

    The turbines will be sited adjacent to the operational Clyde Windfarm on agricultural land currently used for rough grazing.

  • Earls Hall Farm Wind Farm

    10.3 MW wind project in Essex

    Earls Hall Wind Farm, located in Essex, was developed and constructed by BayWa r.e. in 2013 and has a total capacity of 10.3MW. It produces enough electricity to power approximately 10,000 homes and reduces CO2 emissions by 22,000 tons per annum, as well as providing a community benefit fund administered by the Essex Community Foundation which invests in locally approved initiatives.
    The windfarm is now part of the Greencoat UK portfolio and BayWa r.e. continues to manage the site as technical asset manager. In this function BayWa r.e. coordinates all third-party activities on the site, ensures the accomplishment with HSE regulations, carries out analysis and reporting and is responsible for a 24/7 monitoring.

  • Fraisthorpe Wind Farm

    29.7 MW wind project in Yorkshire

    Fraisthorpe Wind Farm, located in Yorkshire, was constructed by BayWa r.e. in 2016 and has a total capacity of 29.7MW. It produces enough electricity to power approximately 28,000 homes and reduces CO2 emissions by 64,000 tons per annum, as well as providing a community benefit fund totaling over £1.5m to invest in locally approved initiatives.
    The windfarm is now part of the Octopus Investments portfolio and BayWa r.e. continues to manage the site as technical asset manager. In this function BayWa r.e. coordinates all third-party activities on the site, ensures the accomplishment with HSE regulations, carries out analysis and reporting and is responsible for a 24/7 monitoring.

  • Gilston

    Gilston Hill Windfarm, comprising 7 turbines, is located on land north-west of Gilston and approximately 3.2km south west of the village of Fala in the Scottish Borders.

    The planning application was submitted to Scottish Borders Council in February 2017 and following an appeal against refusal is currently being considered by a Scottish Government appointed reporter.

  • Inverclyde

    Inverclyde Windfarm is located immediately south of Greenock and Port Glasgow.

    On land close to the existing Devol Substation.

    The application was granted consent by Scottish Ministers following an Appeal to the Scottish Government. Construction of the windfarm commenced in May 2019 and the site is expected to be operational by the middle of 2020.

  • Kildrummy Wind Farm

    18.4 MW wind project in Aberdeenshire

    Kildrummy Wind Farm, located in Aberdeenshire, was developed and constructed by BayWa r.e. in 2013 and has a total capacity of 18.4MW. It produces enough electricity to power approximately 18,000 homes and reduces CO2 emissions by 40,000 tons per annum, as well as providing a community benefit fund administered by Foundation Scotland which invests in locally approved initiatives.
    The windfarm is now part of the Greencoat UK portfolio and BayWa r.e. continues to manage the site as a technical asset manager. In this function BayWa r.e. coordinates all third-party activities on the site, ensures the accomplishment with HSE regulations, is responsible for snow clearing, carries out analysis and reporting and is responsible for a 24/7 monitoring.   

  • North Lowther Energy Initiative

    The site is located to the west of Wanlockhead and north east of Sanquhar in Dumfries & Galloway.

    A Section 36 application was submitted to the Scottish Government in June 2017, with further environmental information provided in April 2018.

  • Stroupster

    29.9 MW wind project in Caithness

    Stroupster Wind Farm, located in Caithness, was developed and constructed by BayWa r.e. in 2015 and has a total capacity of 29.9 MW. It produces enough electricity to power approximately 29,000 homes and reduces CO2 emissions by 66,000 tons per annum, as well as providing a community benefit fund administered by the Essex Community Foundation which invests in locally approved initiatives.

    The windfarm is now part of the Greencoat UK portfolio and BayWa r.e. continues to manage the site as technical asset manager. In this function BayWa r.e. coordinates all third-party activities on the site, ensures the accomplishment with HSE regulations, carries out analysis and reporting and is responsible for a 24/7 monitoring. 

  • Whitelaw Brae

    Whitelaw Brae Windfarm is approximately 14km to the north of Moffat and approximately 3km to the south of Tweedsmuir in the Scottish Borders.

    The site was approved by the Scottish Ministers following a public inquiry in December 2017.
